Message from the Principal

March 1, 2019

Dear LaVenture families,

Thank you for your patience and understanding during a challenging few days at school. Our sense of safety has been threatened, and we have to find ways to restore that sense in our entire school community. Keeping our students safe is always our highest priority. Our own internal investigation and that of the Mount Vernon Police Department led us to the conclusion that the threat did not put students at risk.

Important Dates to Remember

  • Scholastic Book Fair March 25th-29th
  • Student-Led Conferences on March 28th from 3pm-8pm
  • Apr 1-5: Spring Break
