Dear LVMS/MBMS Students and Families:
Following the guidance of Mount Vernon School District, LVMS is preparing for the potential impacts the current rising case counts of COVID may have on our ability to safely supervise and teach our students in person.
In Advisory class, students will get set up for the possibility of remote learning by:
joining all of their Google classrooms
registering for Zoom classes
saving their Zoom links for each class
During the next few days at school, all classroom teachers will make sure that students have what they need in case we need to transition to remote learning sometime this winter. Families can support this potential transition by reviewing these important resources:
We want to emphasize that right now, we are taking steps to be prepared and we do not have an immediate need to switch to remote learning. Should our school reach a point where the ability to have enough healthy staff available to educate and supervise students is strained, we will transition to remote teaching for a short period of time until we can safely reopen in person.
As always, we appreciate your feedback and partnership as we work together to best support your child’s wellbeing and learning. Please reach out to our administrative team with any questions, ideas and concerns.
